Purchasing Salaries

I hope that you have enjoyed the article "Your Purchasing Salary: Is It Fair?"

What I'm hoping even more is that you noticed the free offer to get a copy of "The Guide To Benchmarking Your Purchasing Salary." If you didn't, go here.

What I'm hoping most of all is that you have gotten "The Guide," used it to compare your salary, and will use the comments section of this particular post to tell me how close the calculation was to your salary, if you feel underpaid, what you're going to do to bring your salary up to a reasonable level, etc.

I'd love to hear how the article and the guide help you get paid what you deserve!

My salary is about $15,000 lower annually than what it should be, however I do live is a rural community so the city closest to me is much larger and 100 miles away.

My salary is $20000. below mark. I am signing up for SPSM Cert., it may not help in location, but it may help in other areas of the country.

I hope my boss doesn't see this. According to this I am slightly overpaid especially considering I have been in this position less than a year. I definately need to get my SPSM Cert.

I am slightly underpaid (@2500) by this formulae. Factoring in the location where I work, the type of company I work for and my unique position and I am fairly well satisfied with my salalry.

My salary is $10,000 less than the benchmark. And, i am starting the last course for my SPSM plus the exam. According to this i'll be approximately $29,000 below the mark then.....

My salary is 25,000 plus less than what it should be and I have obtained SPSM AND SPSM2 certifications. It's been 9 years since I searched for a job. I'm glad I just took a course on resume writing and interviewing in these times.

Yikes! While you haven't allowed your skills to be stagnant, it does sound like your job situation has been stagnant. These are tough economic times to find a job but, if you can do so, you probably will be able to achieve a nice increase in salary.

My salary is just 1,000 less, so I'm about right on. I was a little surprised at the lower rates for my geography. But thanks to my SPSM certification, my salary is right in line with where it should be.
